What are the chances. Twice in two weeks. As I told you all last week a overworked forklift operator at work hit the spinkler head back in one of the warehoses, and flooded tha warehouse. To try and make it up, they are talking about working Sat night too. These puts us at a 7day week, 12 and 16 hours and day. Well this morning just before I got off at 1100. Another Forklift driver hit a very old waterline, and snapped it off. Flood the whole North half of the factory. Those lines were so old and hadn't been used for so long, No one thought they were still hooked up. Well surprise they were.
This is so unbelievable. We ( the production workers) keep telling them in the office, "This is way out of control" The Corperate office shut down 6 plants in the Midwest region at the end of Summer. and now they are try to move 7 of the machines into our already crowded plant. and want to increase production 4 plus fold. With no new people for the most part, We got 4 new people over the summer, But 9 retired over the last year. So we are still short handed. They are bringing Huge trucks carrying Huge machinery, run a factory, as if nothing is wrong. There is no where to move, It is so cramped in there, if you tried to fart, it would bounce back and hit you in the head And now they are talking three more machines before the end of the year. This is a disaster waiting to happen. Some one is going to get hurt one of these days. I just hope it isn't me. Well I just needed to vent. Don't have time to go anywhere and complain. Off at 1100, but in at 7 to night. off tomorrow at 11 in the morning.
