OT: Where to get some good meat

Looking for pork steaks mainly, my local butcher close dup early today and the ones at schmucks did look worth buying.

Willing to drive anywhere south of 40/64.

There is a place in Smithton Illinois that has great meat it's about a 45 minute drive but if you buy in bulk is worth it. Let me know if your interested I can get the name.

Kenricks has good meat but I'm not sure if they're open today or not.

Kenricks closed at 3, Hoping some of the placing i have found in searches are open tomorrow.

I would think a place selling meats would want to be open on a big grilling day like tomorrow.

It wouldn't surprise me if they were open tomorrow.

If all else fails, look at Dierbergs. I've gotten some thick cut pork steaks there before that were excellent.

Our Dierberg's is tough to beat as well. Mateker's in South County is pretty good too.

i get mine at cionko's meat store in granite city, they have been around since my grandma was little. i buy bulk orders of meat all summer long.

Went to Wesels in smithton.

Thicker isn't always better

I usually go to Schneider's near waterloo

This is to late but I agree with capo. I like it because it taste good and never chewy. CAPO needs his put in a blender
