Ot-Where to go for snow?

My wife and I are heading that way for the weekend, she's never seen snow(native floridian). We were thinking of Asheville, NC and I thought since it's close to you guys maybe someone could give me a suggestion or two. Thanks

Boone, NC and they have ski resorts still open with a good base depth

Gatlinburg has snow on the slopes right now and there is snow up on the Smokey Mountains as well.

Thanks for the replies! We stayed in Banner Elk which is about 15 min from Boone. Got to see alot of snow leftover from the day before we got there and had a flurry Sat morning

Ahhhh didn't take my advice on Alaska? I hope to take my wife on a cruise to Alaska for our 5-year this summer, not sure with her new job though!

My sister Jennifer has been out since Monday lunchtime, and tomorrow is canceled too My orange and white bosses won't let me off for snow either, so don't dispair

Alrighty I got my snowdays! We got out Monday at noon and I didn't have to come back until today (Thursday) so that's 2.5 days off work! Of course that means today, the kids are wild and can't pay attention but oh well... I shant complain!
