OT: which TP do we see today?

Well the Bucks are not playing a giant today,

so which TP do we see?

This is a game where the coach is usually very conservative in play calling and plain to keep others from seeing what we have. Not sure there is that much to hide at this point.

I was supposed to go to Michigan to get a group of square spot anthias, but the store called and said two of the females are not recovering well from being shipped and advised I wait.
So I can relax of a change on a Saturday and enjoy the games. Now if I could just talk the Mrs. into making a big batch of hot wings I would think I have diet and gone to heaven
:bounce3:

Who knows!? Let's hope the team doesn't look past them because of next week. We need a good scrimmage to prepare us for Happy Valley. I would say I'm not concerned about New Mexico, but I wasn't concerned about Purdue either. Hopefully that loss and the first half last week will refocus the team and straighten this crap out! And one more thing...O-H

45- nil and still played bad. If I saw that young man pat the ball and hesitate one more time or stare down his reciever, I thought I was going to yak. I did notice that when TP started under center that he was much more in step with what the play was supposed to amount to. Three steps and get the ball out or pull and run,

out of the shotgun he stood there staring, got happy feet, patted the ball and floundered. If that was Penn State it very well could have been the exact opposite score

I can't say I seen conservative play calling today. Onside kick, reverse with a flanker pass - looked like a coach wanting to put up a big number against an inferior opponent.

Pryor is still throwing to his primary receiver, whether he's open or not. Seriously, I don't think I've seen him look to a second read yet. However, Bauserman doesn't look any better. He didn't do anything to make me think he's any better than TP, and he definitely can't beat the defense with his feet like Pryor can.

Thankfully, our defense is solid. Coleman is awesome, and I believe this team will go as far as the D takes them. JMO

What we found out today:

Pryor is our BEST QB
Petrey is our BEST kicker

I saw Pryor check off in the 2nd quarter, and he threw a couple nice strikes over the middle. However, he took too much time checking off and had to pull down a few times.

I credit this game as progress, but I don't know if he will be afforded that against PSU.

Halftime band shows was TOPS!

what I saw was four picks missed by an under talented team. Penn State will not be as forgiving. good backers are going to be jumping all over a guy who keeps staring at his target and patting the ball.

45 nil and you guys still want to complain? What more did you want, TP to rip out a linebackers heart and eat it?

We want consistency. He had just as many bad plays as good plays. This was one of the worst defenses in the country. Just keeping things in perspective.

The next two weeks will be a true test to see where TP is. At Happy Valley and the Iowa at home. If we go 1-1 it'll be an accomplishment. If we could just get Pryor to play like Krenzel did in '02, we would be a completely different team. He doesn't have to make a big play all the time, just don't make stupid mistakes! That's what the problem has been all year. Our D is good enough to play with any team in the country...as long as they're not on the field for 40+ minutes.

As far as complaining goes, did you see the 4 or 5 near interceptions TP threw? Had that been one of the two teams just mentioned, 3 of those probably would've been picked with at least one being a pick six. Like A.Void said, consistency and I'll add smart ball handling, is what we are looking for.

To go one step farther, what's up with our O-line? If they can't pass block shouldn't they at least be able to run block? If they are all 300+ pounds, they should at least be able to blow open huge holes for the backs to run through. But, they can't even do that! If all it takes is to be over 6' and 300+ pounds, I may try to walk on next year j/k.

I really don't know why I wasted all this time ranting and raving over something I have no control over to people who could really care less what my opinion is. But, I feel better now.

And one more thing...O_H

Peace, I'm out!

As far as complaining goes, did you see the 4 or 5 near interceptions TP threw?

There is no such thing as a near interception. It either is or isn't intercepted. Those weren't. The same ball from Craig Krenzel is evidence of his skill in making the throw through traffic, threading the needle if you will.

That is the silliest thing I have heard in days, and I have teenagers.

I know the difference between threading the needle and having a pick bounce off of the defenders hands. Threading the needle is a great pass, when it bounces off the defenders hands is a near pick. If those same balls are thrown next week, Penn State will catch those balls! Then there won't be a discussion as to what a "near interception" is; the ball will be going the other way.
