I feed my 5 H. Kuda frozen mysis(3 times a day) and frozen brine (Every other day). My question being other than live brine what else can I feed them. Im wanting to feed them something a little bigger to keep them nice and fat but Im not sure what to do. Can I do FW ghost shrimp or maybe cherry shrimp? Just was wondering because I dont want to hurt them by feeding them something that freshwater. Thanks!

yes smaller ghost shrimp work live mysid i have tried arcti pods but my erectus dont seem to interested in them. cherry shrimp would be ok to but most likely expensive. Hawaiian volcano shrimp is another food source.

Live foods are always welcome but for best results should be enriched first.
Live brine, mysids or FW shrimp that are appropriately sized for the size of the seahorse. The main diet should be the frozen mysids however.
You would have no problem feeding enriched live food once a week or even twice a week if you really want to.

What would I enrich a ghost or cherry shrimp with? And yes there main diet is mysids.

The best enrichment is Dan's Feed from seahorsesource.com.
It's available with or without Beta Glucan but if you aren't getting both, just get the one with BG and once in a while just enrich with spirulina powder for a bit before going back on to the Dan's Feed with BG.
