Other PH Probe

I have the Neptune Apex lite system. I am looking to buy a PH probe for it. Normally I would just get the Neptune one but I have a gift certificate to Drs Foster Smith so I'm looking to buy one there. They have Pinpoint and AquaticLife PH probes available. Has anyone used either one with their apex system? An what are your thoughts? Is there much different between PH probes? I'm only looking to get a $40 one not the more expensive ones. I think the Pinpoint one is on sale now so I'm leaning towards that one.

It is my understanding that Neptune probes are made by Pinpoint, but I don't have any proof of that. There have been some reports of Neptune probes failing prematurely, but mine lasted well over a year. Neptune probes have a 90 day warranty, so you may want to take that into consideration. I just replaced my ORP and pH probes this week with ones from BRS. They were considerably cheaper.

I like pinpoint probes, but any pH probe is compatible once you calibrate it.
