Hey all,
with my growing fanatacism for reefs, I'm realizing that my leopard gecko Spot who is about 4 years old probably isn't enjoying all of the time I spend with husband, cats, tanks, school, work...
he's more of a gentle guy who loves the warmth of your hand and likes attention (loves to sleep all day too ;p) and deserves more attention than I can give him right now with everything else going on. My cats are also deathly afraid of him and shoot their claws at anything that moves for a good hour or so after handling him.
I know, I know it should be the other way around, gecko afraid of cat. It's not, and I have battlewounds to prove it. I was thinking of the thread on birds and how well everyone mixes together but some species just aren't very trainable when it comes to that. Then again, my one cat will flip out almost equally if he sees you eating a cookie. It is very, very strange.
I was wondering if there are any reefers out there who also have a soft side for herps and would be willing to trade me a nice frag of something from their tank for the whole kit n kaboodle- Spot, his cage, warming rock, flood light. He has a little decoration in his tank and a water bowl. He has calcium-sand substrate that is very fine.
If anyone is interested let me know and I can work on getting some pictures going. I have had this guy since he was a baby and had little stripes instead of spots and it kills me to do this but I know there is probably someone with more time out there for me who could really apprecriate him.
Thanks for checking this out
