OUCH OUCH, i was moving frogspawn and i think i got stung. its pretty painful, tried calling brother but he wansnt there. My mom put meat tenderizer on it.
Please help!

You may have gotten nailed by a bristleworm: they hurt like crazy.

In either case, hold the afflicted part under hot water. The heat dissipates the poison. If you see bristles, soak in warm vinegar, which dissolves them.

If you are uncommonly sensitive, consider wearing gloves.

HAHA, seriously?

yeah seriously........

I was in Puerto Rico and a girl got stung on the reef so someone had to pee on her foot.

Vinegar will help dissolve the bristles, and if you have benedryl I'd take that just in case it was your coral. I've been got by my cabbage coral more than once.

pee on it! Quick! = )

I've heard about that for jelly fish stings. I wonder if it works for other things too?

I hope you feek better.

Meat tenderizer mixed with some water to form a paste is good. Smear some of that on it and take some benadryl just in case you should develop an allergic reaction. If you still feel bad, don't mess around. Head for the nearest emergency room and tell them you got stung by something in your saltwater reef. Make sure that you emphasize the words SALTWATER REEF.

Good luck and I hope you feel better.

Quit your whining and get back in the game!

Just kidding. Never had my frogspawn sting me in the 6+ years I've had one. I bet it's something else. Do you have any hydroids? Now those would bother me.

alcohol? well not on the cut..but liquor to numb the pain.

HOpefully you're not underage. alcohol helps cure everything...until it wears off.. lolz.

i but some meat tenderizer paste on it last night, then held a cotton ball of vinegar. Its still alittle red and puffy, but its fine.

reconsider handling any corals in your tank. were gloves because its sounds like you are sensitive to it..good luck bpatrol

i actully think it was a bristle worm, becuase I have handeled my frogspawn all the time and nothing, and i also pick up my anemone, so I dont know.

I'm betting on a bristleworm---they hurt considerably. Harmless to corals and beneficial to the tank, but a PITA to set your hand on.
