aqhi sump light
tsunami ato
diy T5 retrofitted to LED
custom made 5 gal frag tank

yes the closed loop has multiple shut off valves to control the flow going back to the aquarium from the pump and going to the pump from the aquarium basically we have shut off valves everywhere for cleaning the plumbing every month or so and being military it is easier to have everything be able to come apart to move around the country anyways any other questions just let know

we know letting it get a good and long cycle before we do that its got a couple things but nothing major for now anyways if anybody could with the above mentioned algae outbreak would greatly appreciate it

well to help the tank cycle or actually just any other things you want to get rid of. i like to use Dr. Tims one and only and a couple of his other products. Check em out.

well the tank is cycled but we don't want to add anything just yet because we are going to be taking a vacation during xmas and going to be gone for two weeks and having a friend who's not knowledgable with saltwater tanks or any fish for that matter so we are going to wait til we get back to start the actual stocking but we plan on having a couple bangai cardinals, a mated pair of clowns, a yellow tang, powder blue tang, starry blenny, blue chromis, rabbit foxface and lots of coral lol

Wow did you drill the tank yourself? I know it takes alott of nerve just drilling one and you got a few... Nice set up

Unions are my friends as well due to being military and knowing i'll be moving/deploying. Plumbing is a pain but it was one of the most enjoyable things i've done so far just because i know I added pieces to make my life and moving easier later on.

Your tank looks pretty good and I have the same size. I'll be on leave till after christmas so I should be stocking my tank about the same time as ya'll. I'll be using yours for some ideas.

i was nervous but we drilled it our selves. it was actually easy. duck tape on one side i got a water hose to spray on the glass to keep wet and wash any thing away, and my husband with diamond drill bits did the drilling. we have drilled for other people as well

quick update: I changed the rock work around just a little bit and we added a starry blenny, diamond goby, sand sifter star, and some clean up crew. No fish yet waiting till we get back from louisiana. Also got a few new coral like green mushrooms, some hammerheads. Also did first water change about a week ago everything doing good and happy.
