Our 37 Gallon

mflamb, :D you got it. Have about 4 gallons of salt mixed, but I'll go through that by Sunday. I'll pick up some Reef Crystals and start mixing, Thanks!

On my way over to your 390 thread, to check for any updates ;-)

glad I'm not the only one. Having the tank has given me a new appreciation for others setups. So many cool tank ideas, so few credit cards ;)

Sounds like you have a pretty good understanding of the whole alk/calc balance. Took me a little while to get there and i definately noticed my inhabitants respond to the better conditions.

Sooo few credit cards! That's the truth. Part of my understanding is just reading alot before I got started. I trolled this board for a year before I signed up. It hasn't been until the last month or so all that information I read is just now coming together. :D

If it wasn't for lighting cost, I probably would've upgraded by now. Sorta glad I've been patient, I've learned alot! Glad I didn't go thru these growing pains with alot of $$$ invested.

Oh Boy

Oh Boy

Well got some really good advice on the BTA. He's eating and doing great! Still bleached but I'm hopeful he'll return to normal coloring in a couple of months.

So instead of waiting at least a month, I purchased the clown this weekend. BTW, the BTA n' clown was something my wife REALLY wanted! I couldn't say no :D

BTA and clown obviously getting along, just like a man and his wife, when he buys what she wants!!!
How are things since the bbq???
Tank looks great.

Thanks jen!

Mike, nada much. Christmas shopping for the kids, and busy Thanksgiving weekend. Have been visiting more LFS' in the area. Went to one in Dunedin last night Exoctic Aquatics?. Had alot of supplies and some decent livestock. Only negative was some of the prices were a bit high on the supplies (Maxijets, Selcon, etc.)

How bout j00? Still following the 390 thread! I still can't comprehend the time, planning and patience that goes into that. Thou I am in the midst of planning a big upgrade for me, looking to take a jump to 75g by Spring 2007.

Reef Crystals here as well.
Out of curiousity, were you using Oceanic prior to you switch, I found it very high in Calcium, and low in Alk. I switched to RC, and will never go back. Just my 2 cents.

pyle02, haven't switched yet to Reef Crystals, trying to find a place that isn't overcharging by $20. I have about 4 water changes of Oceanic left. It is absolutely WAY HIGH Calc, and WAY LOW alk.

After a water change, my Calc shoots up to 500+. I'm daily dosing with B-Ionic Alk, until I can find a place to purchase Reef Crystals :D

btw, forgot to post a pic of a zoo/shroom rock I picked up a couple weeks ago.. sorry for the bad pic, best one of the three I took :D
