Our Latest Critter Addition...

We welcomed this little one on Monday...

Don't know what her name is yet...any suggestions? I've been calling her "Bitty" as in "Itty Bitty Kitty." She's only 8 weeks old and is quite a spunky little thing. Got her from the Humane Society where we got our older cat (CB). He needed some company since we had to put our other cat Nikita down due to cancer in September.

That fish looks a little skinny to me. I'd offer lots of nori, and maybe QT with copper or hypo for a few weeks before you introduce her. You know, just to be safe... :D :D

Very cute, we have 3 little furballs running around the house - two came from the humane society, the other was a stray that we took in.

Just wait till Christy finds this thread. We currently have one white, one black, and one orange. She's been bugging me for a long time that we need to adopt a little grey kitty. Somehow, I don't think your picture will help! :D

This is the one that needed some company...I call him the Beast:

He's a brown tabby tuxedo and he's big (about 15 lbs). Nikita (the one we had put down) was a black & white tuxedo cat with longer hair...I wasn't allowed another long hair as my hubby protested (her hair is still being found around the house!).

If I had a georgeous grey girl kitten, (which apparently is not going to happen anytime soon) I would name her Arwen. That was the elf princess from Lord of the Rings. She was always associated with the evening light and the color grey.

Seeing as it is just a kitten, how about naming it "Nano" to give your RC name that extra meaning?Cute little thing & glad that you rescued her.

Arwen, now that's a cute one. We're not sure of her personality yet, so we're still bouncing around some ideas. We named the boy cat CB because I kept calling him "Crazy Boy" and it got shortened to CB.

Max is awesome! I love the spots...looks like a Bengal! He looks like he loves water like our CB does...if I had a sump like that, I'm sure he would be intrigued too. As it is, if I leave a bucket around after a water change he's got his head in it real quick!

One day when we have a larger home (we're in a 2/1 condo right now), we'll have a bird (maybe a Caique) and I would love to rescue a pair of ferrets...I had one years ago and loved her. I would like to get a baby bird that we could raise, as the two adult birds we've had loved me and hated my hubby...figured if he's involved in raising them, they'll tolerate him better.

Thanx for sharing pix of your critters!

Max was born in an old truck and left behind by his mother. His crying alerted us to his location. His eyes where still closed when we found him. We raised him on formula with a bottle.

I bet he's very attached to you because of that. I once found 2 kittens in a bush that may have been about 1 day old (they still had dried umbilical cords attached). I figured they were dumped or the mother got hit by a car or something. Anyway, I took them home, the female calico died that night, but the male yellow tabby had an enormous will to live and we bottle fed him every 2 hours for the next few days. I couldn't keep him, so I had to find a home for him once he was weaned, sadly enough.

Well, CB hasn't exactly been thrilled with our new resident. Little "Bitty" comes up and plays with his tail, but he just gets up and walks away. Today, I was making the bed today and CB got right under the sheets as usual, then the kitten came in and started going after the "lump" under the sheets. It was hilarious and CB kept his pride intact by not showing his face while he played with the kitten. I got this little video clip of it:

I've found bits of frags around the house such as hairs and whiskers, but they don't seem to be viable. I'll let you know if one takes! ;)
