The tank has been set up now for 8 months. The Livestock has been established for well over 13 years. The tank is packed and we are now looking to upgrade to a larger tank. I thought I would share some of the pics we have from start to current date.

My newest favorite tank. Which one of your fish is the boss? I am guessing the Purple Tang but the Clown probably thinks she is.
Thanks for sharing.

I would say of all the tangs no one is a agressor or shows signs of attitude I got them all at once when they were all the size of a 50cent piece. The boss of the tank would be the Tusk he gets real grumpy and will chase the tangs when food hits the water. He is a pig, I have all my tangs in pairs excluding the Naso blonde, Sailfin and the Yellow eye. 2 Regal tangs, 8 Yellow tangs 2 Powder blues, 2 Sohals, and 2 Purple tangs. I had 2 Black tangs but we lost them in the set up they carpet surfed on me. We are currently looking at a 1200 gallon tank for the tangs as the grow, I get bigger tanks I am in it for the long run so are the fish.

Thank you comments I can say this, the tanks on RC are Jaw dropping many of them have been my goal to achive. I still have still much to learn I have been at it for some 15 years and almost every day, I learn new methods with our passion of reef keeping!

Very very nice Emilio. If I can get my new 300 DD to look 1/3 as good as yours I'll be a happy camper.

Do you do any water changes? Also what kind of supplementing do you do. Two part ? or maybe a Reactor? Also what kind of food do you give to your corals and how often?

You will my friend! I took many years of looking at others tanks way before I attempted mine to give you an idea when I started when bleached corals were in? Wow if we could only turn back the clock! I also am a avid super glue user! Mabe thats why all of my tangs are peaceful they are junkies on Cyanoacrylate! One question did you have issues with your over flows not keeping up with your return? I am using a Iwaki RL70t for the return and another for my closed loop I had to cut the teeth wider and deeper on the boxes to allow them to keep up? If I could do it over I would cut out the boxes and drill the back!! a good friend of mine did this to his 200 DD and it looks AWSOME! I am interested if anyother 300 DD owners had this issue with the boxes? My tank was made in May 2008. Other than this is has held up so far!

Water changes are 40 gallons a week. I use two part Bionic 120ml a day. The corals are feed cyclop-eeze once a week @ 30ml at night. The Tangs are feed four times a day and every time I walk by the tank. Formula 2 Flakes and green alge sheets on a rock with a fishing line attached so I can pull it out when they are done grazing. I am to spooked to use a reactor I have had many friends lose a whole tank because somthing went wrong! The reactors today are a lot better than the ones in the past mabe someday? But for now I feel that it gives me a excuse to interact with the tank when I dose.

The lighting on this tank is as follows ARO Ballast 2-6' VHO actinics, 3-Electronic 250w Galaxy Ballast, 3-20k single ended Radium bulbs. I have 1 Iwaki RL70T for the return pump. I have another Iwaki RL70T on the closed loop with a Tidal Power 4 way which is similar to the OM 4 way, this then outputs to 4-3/4" seaswirls. The Skimmer is a PM Bullet XL2 wich uses a Iwaki RL70T to feed the Beckett. The sump is a 65 gallon custom tank which is topped off by a 30 gallon fresh water reserve tank using a reefanatics ATO. The brains of the system is a RK2 which works for what I need. Here is a couple of pic's that are of the Tidal Power 4 way and The Ballast mounted in the left door of the stand for a space saving clean look.
