I had a nice Merry Christmas in all different colors, and after I posted it, wanted to make it bold, and somehow I messed it up, and didn't feel like typing it all out again.

We had a nice, quiet Christmas Eve. Today we are heading to our friend's parents house for dinner with their family. Although I do love living in Florida, it's hard to be away from your family on the holidays. We'll share our friend's family with him.

I got a brine shrimp thing at PetSmart. I read a review about it and it says it isn't too bad. You don't have to separate the shrimp from the eggs with this one. It has a separate cup of water that the shrimp swim into.

Bob and I got a vacation to Florida for Christmas!! :thumbsup:
I'm not sure when.....but it'll be January or February!!

I'm really not sure where we're going. Last year when we went, we went to the east coast and flew into West Palm. This time we'll be going with my sister & her husband. His father is in Seminole, so we'll be flying into Tampa. That's all I know at this point. They have to work out details about getting time off of work. (Bob and I don't have that problem. ) I don't even know how long we're going for.


Bob asked me to post a couple of pictures hoping for an ID. He said it looks and crawls like a nudibranch.

I think it's luck that you've been able to get pictures. I remember seeing some things, that I didn't get a picture of, and then I never saw it again when I did have the camera ready. But you do have lots of diversity, that's for sure!!

i do spend at least an hour a day with the tanks, so i do see things.i have a chair down there with the tanks around it. i take my coffee down there and its my quiet time.

That's an orange fleshy limpet. Really cool.

but is it safe? could that have eaten my xenias?

most likely not. It mainly eats the same things that key hole limpets eat....algae on the rocks. I'd probably bet on a crab that ate it. We just saw another gorilla crab the other day. It was pretty big and we had not seen it previous to this. The last gorilla crab we saw got eaten by something, either one of the fish got it or the pistol shrimp got it. I thought that was the last of them but I guess this one hid so well that it grew to this size without us ever knowing it was in the tank.

I have seen one of them in my tank too. It looks like a limpet with a umbrella.

Thanks Dennis. Just finished taking the Christmas tree down.
The television is coming tomorrow, and it's going where the tree was.
All we have left to do is clear finish the temporary stand.

Those fleshy limpets are weird looking. They do look like keyhole limpets with a large nudi on top of it.
