Kole tang is sick again. He still only eats PE Mysis. He just got done with a battle with ICH about....He came out of QT January 3. Showed no signs of ICH and was doing well. Treated with Hyposalinity.

Now he is really pale, Looks to have black dots on him and his fins have this whitish looking film, he is still eating well and acting normal. I have taken several pics but none show whats going on too well.

None of my other fish show any signs of anything going on. I did have a clown go carpet surfing today. So i duno. Tested the water and everything seems fine. Small algae outbreak from probably overfeeding. Been working too much to be able to target feed so the past week i have just been tossing some Mysis and pellets and letting the fish have at it.

So i guess its back into the Hospital tank for the Tang? What about the other fish. From what i read Black ich is a parasite that live in the sand so....Treat the whole tank? Seachem paraguard looks to be the best bet here for reef safety.

Or buy more tanks and set up like 5 Hospital tanks treat everyone leaving the DT fallow for the next 60 days?

oy any suggestions welcome.

If he is eating well and acting normal, I'm not sure why you think he is sick? Black spots could be a symptom of "black ich," which is actually a worm and is easily treated. Kole tangs turn pale when they are stressed. How large is the tank and what are the other inhabitants? Please post your water parameters as well

I know you said the pics were inconclusive, but post a couple anyway. They might help with diagnosis.
