OK.. so I am like 8 hours away and Melanie tells me that the tank is really full of water. can see the crossbrace touching the water. Best guess is that overflow has air in it. she is NOT one to suck on a tube to get the air out. with auto topoff, this can cause a major disaster.

I am thinking aobut having her turn off return pump and breaking entire siphon from overflow. this will leave max water in the tank. return siphon break is above current waterline, so we are good here. Tank will have to ride this way till thrusday night or friday mid day. I have a 1250 gph closed loop. do you think the tank will ride for a few days without the sump on?

Most definately man. A couple days with just the closed loop should not be an issue. Jenn and I would be happy to cruise out there in the am to check it out if you wish. I'll pm you my phone number man.

If you need me to, I can go after work tomorrow after 10:30pm to check on the overflow for ya. I'm used to getting tank water in my mouth... Just make sure there's water movement in the fuge if you wanna wait til Thursday....

dont have a fuge. skimmer and all is in the sump. I guess it will be ok to not have water flow thru the sump for a few days. skimmer will have to work OT when I get back.... thanks for the advice yall.

Melanie has to work days, and is too big of a chicken to have anyone over to fix it. thanks for the offers....
