Outlet pipe question for a Tunze 9010

Water is rapidly exiting the outlet pipe, which is causing a cascading sound in my sump. It used to flow out at a slower rate and then gradually increased to a point where it flows over the sponge on the pipe. Is this normal operation?

No, I would think something has reduced the air flow, with less air flow there is more water flow. Check the venturi connection at the pump and check that nothing is plugging the air passages.
