ok, the issue:

i cannot connect to my apex via Iphone.
I can connect through my home IP. this was no issue

what i have done:
using netgear router (wn3300)
using netgear wireless bridge (wndr1000?)

i have established communications through wifi within my home on my private IP. 192.xxx.xxx.xxx

set up dyndns acct. for a 14 day trial using my Inbound IP (before router)
74.xxx.xxx.xxx

i have attempted hundreds of ports through my router settings in attempt of port forwarding. even used the site that scans ur ip for open ports. out of the 1056 it scans, 3 are closed, and the rest are stealth.

i tried dozens of ports above 1056: result....stealth.

and yes, i have read the user guide, and the unoffical guide about 10 times.

i have officially given up attempting this myself. i need to know if i am missing something stupid, like a checked box in my router access? or is it possible my ISP is blockign all my ports, and how do i get around this?

i also have set up a gmx account to forward to my yahoomail and text (verizon) and have nothing.

hopefully i described everything enough.....

the only other thing im guessing is, maybe there is somewhere on the apex im supposed to enter my public IP?

any assistance is appreciated, i have been messing with this since wed, and need help lol. keep in mind, im not an IT guy so this needs to be explained caveman style:hammer:

Thanks Russ!

I asked because I am going to be setting mine up this week and I noticed DynDns is no longer free!

Any Suggestions

I noticed DynDns is no longer free!
They've made it tricky, but free accounts are still available. If you sign up for the 30-day DynDNS Pro trial, then cancel it before the 30 days are up, you'll be left with a free account for one hostname.

Thanks for the tip. I've been using No-IP since DynDNS changed their policy, but I haven't had as much luck with the configuration as I did with DynDNS. Could be my fault though.

i might have missed a step, but since i cancelled my dyndns (using no-ip), it closed my account an told me everything would be gone, to include the host name.....but like i said, i may have missed something, and no-ip seems to be working fine so im not too concerned lol.
