Hi, I'm kinda new to this lighting thing, I've read a lot about people overdriving MH bulbs with HQI ballasts. The light output, and color is awesome. My question is, How much would a HQI ballast overdrive a 400 w bulb percentage wise? I'm not planing on doing this, but have hunted down a couple of pulse start 450 watt (M 144) ballasts, and would like to power 400 watt bulbs for the above mentioned color quality and output. I'm quite aware that the bulb and ballast life may suffer, but is there any other dangers or negative aspects to doing this ??
