Overflow gph?

Is there any difference between a 180 gallon tank with 2 megaflows and a 300 gallon deep series Marineland tank with 2 megaflows? The tank is much bigger, but the overflows still can only handle about 650gph right?

To sum up, the same return pump can be used on both tanks even though one is much larger right? Then again, I'm not positive that the 300 has megaflows or that it has the same size drains/returns...I'm just guessing. Let's assume that the overflow boxes are similar...

Assuming the overflow boxes are similar dimensions, and - much more importantly - the drain bulkheads and drain plumbing is the same, then yes - the two tanks will be identical with respect to overflow capacities and return pump selection.
