Overflow Guard?

Does anyone have anything I can use to cover my overflow a few minutes ago my wrasse got stuck in my overflow and I would like to prevent that! I can post a picture of my overflow in a few.

I used a piece of eggcrate on mine...cocked at about 15 degrees back...my turbo snails kept crawling into mine to get to algae....then clogged up the u tube....emptying out the sump....

you can use gutter guard

They should have that at home depot right. I am currently using a screen material do you think that is a good idea or not? Like a outside door screen?
