ALlright im still working on my 55 and i have a question about overflow..is there any disadvantage to having a hang-on-back overflow compared to...say...a megaflow??? i have a 55 with a hang-on-back but i will sell it and get one with an overflow installed if it is much better. I would assume the one preinstalled and tank drilled would be better because you would get flow in top, middle, and bottom of tank...correct??? and with a hang-on-back you just get flow at the top right??? so if i have a hang-on-back I will most likely need more flow throughout the tank and sacrifice looks for the powerheads. The tank i am getting is going to be glass no matter what....dont feel like dealing with the scratching of acrylic allthough the advantages of drilling are hard to beat. Is it worth the $$$ for a preinstalled megaflow???? i want to do this tank right so any help would be thanked in full!!!
also for lighting i was going to do 2X 175w MH with pc actinics. should i up it to 2X 250w or will the 175w be substantial. They are retro fits..
