overflow loosing flow?!

my overflow isn't draining as quickly as it used to.
it seems like it's gradually slowing.

could algea or sponges be growing and blocking the flow in the drain pipes?
if so how do i clean them?
my pipes go through a wall and around some bends, so i can't just shove a stick in there and clean them.

Is the water level rising in the tank? Then its your flow that is restricted

Is the water level dropping? Then your pump is cutting down production

Check the drains for snails or other materials that could clog it. Also, check the pump to make sure it is clean, not filled with calcium deposits. Usually, there is either a restriction to flow or a restriction to the drain...like Clark said.

the water in the tank is rising.
snail... could be!
i will check what i can when i get home.

failing the obvious i guess i'll search for some kind of brush.

I think I'd do an internet search on flexible brushes.
