Overflow Question

I got my overflow the other day and I don't think its going to work. My tank is 22'' high (measuring from the inside of the tank) and the overflow is 23 1/2". Is there any way I can make this work.

Here are a few pics I took so you guys could see what I'm talking about.

Hopefully I can still make this work. If you guys have any ideas please let me know.

Thanks

what lee said, just cut some off the bottom, just make sure its straight and you don't make it to low.

You want to be careful about cutting the bottom, it has an intake down there that will suck up sand if too close. Maybe you could cut the top and use a dremel to re-cut the slots. Just my 2 cents.

BTW where did you get the overflow? Looks like an all-glass type.

He's goin bare bottom so sand wont be an issue......good point though.

Like Jemey said this tank is going to be BB so I think I will be ok there. What should I cut it with? How tall should I cut to?

hopper75- I got the overflow from Ryansholl.
