overflow

I am going to drill my 90 and put a corner overflow in. I have the acrylic overflow which is designed to span the entire depth of the tank. Since I am drilling the back of the tank I am thinking of cutting the overflow down and putting in bottom pane to just take up the top corner of the tank, say 6 inches or so.

Good or bad idea? Where do I get acrylic glue in the St. Louis area?

I believe that there is a place on Gravois that sells Weldon. Maybe JB Plastics or J&B plastics.
