i use a u tube overflow on my tank.works great never will loose siphon.ya can buy them from aqutic tech in columbia station for around 60 dollors.

Ok Thanks...right now am sumpless and was thinking of adding one in order to get rid of cyano.

adding a sump isnt going to solve your problems presto what are your parameters now? what size tank what kind of filtration and flow you have going? What the bioload?
