reefer rocks

I got base rock from them for my 90 gal setup. IMO theirs is better than hirock's. Now I need to find another source for my future 150 gal setup.

Yeah the owner has back problem and I don't think the guy worked for him was doing a good job. Their rock are way better than hirock and cost a lot more. I paid about $3.18 per lbs :eek1: ..

I think hirocks is also out of business. They probably ran out of rocks that were tank worthy. I had some of their "early" stuff via SanFranTodd, and it was pretty decent. I recently ordered some stuff and it looks like it fell off a highway barrier. It was utter crap, and it was orange coloured (!!) too.

I like the rock don't mind paying for it again. IMO it looks a lot nicer than the LR around here.

Look like reeferrocks.com is back. :D

:) Sounds good! Hopefully the quality is still that great. I plan to get some for my new setup. However, my new 150 gal project stuck at getting a glass tank. I am frustrated and start thinking about cancelling the plan. :(

Why? Couldn't find anyone to make the tank??

I think I will have my tank built by Long. I got his contact info from this thread: RR tank I visited him a week before last week in SAC area. He showed me his work of a cube tank. It looks pretty good. Does anybody have experience ordering tank from him?

I have had bad experience about LFS. Of course I know the price won't be cheap. I just feel frustrated because of the process.

i think I'll contact him too for a tank.

btw. looking at the website, looks like they'll be running again soon.
