Ozone Safe "T", Where to find?!?

I'm not positive, but I think John Guest fittings are ozone safe... I know that AquaC has a Guest fitting on their skimmer that says you can inject ozone through it, so I'd imagine that the other fittings in that brand would have the same qualities.

But I don't have any firsthand experience with it... I'm waiting on my ozone unit and ORP controller to get here, so I'll be in the same boat you are shortly.

Sparkss:Where can I get the EPDM fitting?

Treg: What size is regular airline tubing?

ZigZag:Where can I get eh John Guest fittings?

Thanks everyone,
Dave

Just use a regular 39 cent airline tee from a pet store. The worst that will happen is it will become brittle in about a year and you'll have to replace it.

Home Depot and Lowe's... and probably OSH, though I've only shopped at OSH once, for a gate valve to do my ASM skimmer mod, so I'm not positive.

They should be in the plumbing aisle where you can buy tubing to length and sprinkler parts and stuff.

Figured that might make it easier for you to find them. :)

my aquac ev180 doesn't have the JG fitting built in either, is it as easy as buying a fitting then drilling a hole for it on the bubble box of the skimmer?

Item #64346. Thats the black version, I would guess any 1/4" would work. I think I am gonna just go with the .39 cent option at any LFS.

I went to my LFS and got a standardairline "T" and it didnt really fit. The airline hose that leads to my skimer seems to be a little bigger...

Deltecrules:What "T" are you using now??

If you go this route, you got to make sure everyday that it is not brittle or broken otherwise you will have some issues.

Agreed. I've been using the same one for 18 months with my Aquazone 200 with no issues, though.
