ozone system?? new setup came with one

My new tank came with a clearwater tech s-1200 water purification system...what is it and should I use it? LFS said its dangerous to use?? Thanks for any help

I use ozone but i have no clue about the system you are talking about. Not sure how you can use that on a reef system.

Google it and seems very high end stuff. I would contact the people who made it for instructions.

I don't know a lot in regards to reef tanks but I have an ozone air purifier and they create an unstable form of oxygen called ozone via an electric light (corona) disharge. This purifies by the unstable molecule of O3 is looking for a positively charged molecule (any contaminent) to attach itself to and drag it down, when this happens you are left with a contaminent that sinks to the bottom of the tank and oxygen as the byproduct. Hope this is somewhat handy. They can get rid of some contaniments that other methods cannot. Some municiple water supplies that have issues or bad press regarding water quality are going to this form of water sanitation. Its good for getting odors out as well.
