Finding the right tubing locally, now that may be a issue.
Keeping the tubing in a bucket is a good idea, but if it does crack and leak it may not take long for the bucket to fill up. Either way in a bucket or out of a bucket if something goes wrong and nobody is home you will rpobably have a mess.
Although, I may try the bucket trick w/ a float switch mounted to the inside just above the coil, controlling the pump. Make sure the bucket is higher or at least taller than the sump.
