ozone

I am looking at adding an ozone maker to my skimmer and also all the equipment that comes with it. I was planning on running a 50 foot tube to vent it outside since I heard/read that you do not want to vent it in the house since ozone can be toxic. (my plan is to drill a hold in my floor and run the tube into the basement and then outside through an air intake vent in the basement. So my question is what are symptoms of getting sick from ozone and also how dangerous is it. If anyone has a link or information that would be great.

Also any suggestions on venting it

i sure wouldn't do all that, What type skimmer do you have? What size tank[total volume of system]? How much ozone do you plan to use?

The tank is a 105 with a 55 sump. The skimmer is a berlin HO by red sea. The reason why I am adding it is I keep on getting ICH in my tank and since I cannot put in medicine to cure it it is a pain to move all the corals around to catch the fish that has ICH. THen hey is brought back to my LFS to but put in a sick tank. Then the tuff think is 5-10 days later another fish has it and well long story short it seams like I cannot get rid of it. I have tried using RX-P and Kick ICH with no longterm luck, so I figuared the best way to get ride of free floating ICH is ozone... so I am just worried about the dangers.

From reading all the materials I can find and talking to my LFS I would be running it for 10-20 mins a say once my wq is back up to perfect.

Not sure i have ever heard of ozone being used for ich. Maybe look at UV?

Anyways for ozone in that size tank i would not do the vents. Maybe put some carbon in bag on top of the skimmer[collection cup]. Ozone in salt water only has a half life of a couple of seconds[about 4 secs]. If you can smell the ozone then you are using wayyy too much.
