Ozonizer for my 60 gallon reef

i have a 50 mg/hr on my 120 and I have it dialed in at 25% only. So like Kb said, its more than enough

I'm interested too, the more I read about ozone I get more confused, I though you are supposed to use it with an ORP controller, too much ozone and it's toxic.

I currently bought a GenX Ozone Generater that dose 250 mg/hr for my 135g. Why to much. A friend of mine only uses 50 mg/hr on his 240g. I'm not a fan of Red Sea products, but the one thing they do make that I and others that I know is the best is there ozone generators w/digital. That way you will not need to buy a controler also. you will need a probe though and a air drier, and an air pump. It's worth the money and I wish I could take mine back an get a Red Sea.

Its really simple.

You feed ozone into a skimmer or a reactor[you will need an air pump with this]. Set the Ozone Generater to 5-10mg. You use a ORP controller to make sure you don't put too much ozone in the tank. The ORP controller will just turn off the ozone when its gets to a number you set. I set mine at 400-425. The higher the number on the ORP controller the "cleaner" the water, but anything over 450 isn't safe. It might take awhile for your tank to get to 400[2 weeks or more of running ozone]

That is the basic stuff. Ozone is safe if you use it right. Ozone only stays in the water for a couple of sec so you don't have to worry about ozone hurting your fish. Just keep the Ozone Generater below 10mg and you will be fine.

oh, and your link goes to a calcium reactor. Funny that's the same one I'm planing to upgrade to. that one or a Deltec.
lol no that is the last thing you looked at marine depot. Click refresh on your browser when you click that link. ;)

For some reason marine depot site acts weird with links.

Yes 10 mg for the whole tank. Sure you can use more but i use this just to "polish the water". After 2 weeks you can adjust the amount to better suit your tank.

You know you have to clean the ORP probe weekly.

sorry i'm in the process of upgrading my tank so i don't have it setup.

The way i had it before was:

air pump -> air dryer -> ozone generator[run off an ORP controller] -> Coralife Ozone Reactor[feed by a mj600] -> 2little fishes phosban reactor filled with carbon -> sump
