P. bartlettorum shoal

Soylent Green is People!!
The LFS that is closing here had a big bowfront for a display reef tank. It was really nice and for a long time they had a 5 bartlett's shoal in there. I have always wanted one just like it so I have been studying up on them.

The guy who worked there and was the most knowlegeable went to another shop here in town and I was in there the other day to see if they had any bartletts. They had a single fish that has been there for about a month. It is a juvenile fish about 1.5". I decided to buy it. In good shape in my aquarium now (eating pellets and swimming happily)

Before I decided to buy the fish I discussed it with the guy and we landed on a total of 6 bartlett's for my 125. He is ordering 5 more female juveniles that will be in next Tuesday. I trust him because he after all created the shoal of bartletts in the old display.

So my/our assumption is that the fish I bought is likely male because it has been alone in the tank for at least a month and will be in mine for another week. Adding 5 more females should create a shoal.

I am really looking for a little confirmation on this scheme. I realize that there are no guarantees when it comes to nature but I'm trying to guess my odds that the 5 fish will fall in line and establish a good hierarchy.

The tank is a 125 6' AGA. There is quite a lot of current in there and I intend to feed with an auto feeder. (I understand that lots of current = less quarreling and frequent small feedings = the same)

Also, is there a better way to sex them other than "more colorful" or "usually the most colorful"?

Thanks in advance.
