P. dispar sex change

Hello all,

I fear my female dispar anthias is quickly changing into a male.

Here is an old picture of her.

And here is a current picture.

For comparison sake, here are a few pictures of my male.

Notice the pink developing on the face, as well as the blue edges around her fins. Could she just be maturing, or is this definitely indicative of a change in sex? There has not been any fighting between the male and "female", but they don't stay as close as before.

Sure looks like what mine did.
I had mine for over a year, and on intro of my carberryi's he went into sex change mode and took on them as his own harem.
Once I saw the head turning pink, the change went fairly fast.

Yes, it's definitely been a quick process so far, this has all taken place in the past week or so. I also have a female P. ignitus with them, who is definitely still female.

It was weird to me that I had my single dispar w/ my group of lyretails for over a year, probably close to a year and a half, and then right after carberryi's intro'd he went straight into the change, and formed like a sub harem.
Now, I just noticed one carberryi turning male, hopefully peace prevails among them.
Thinking of adding more dispars so he has his own harem among them.

I was also thinking about adding a couple more females, but now I'm a little worried they'll just change. Luckily, I haven't seen any aggression at all so far.

Maybe once he has gone completely through his change and established it would be safe to add more females.
