Pacific Sailfin or Red Sea Sailfin

I was wondering besides the coloration what is the difference between the two? Does one get bigger than the other, more aggressive than the other? We are considering one and would just like to know the differences and I can't seem to find a clear answer other than people talking about the differences in coloration.

The only thing I can add is they get big fast. Unless you are moving in the 200+ tank size find another tang that stays smaller.

With all do respect, how is that any different from one in your 180? Other than an additional 6" on the back.

6" makes a large difference depending on how much rock you have , that said , I had one in a 6' 135 and he started to look cramped in there. not that you can't do it, but would be better for the fish in the long run if you didn't. just my 2 cents
this was her just before she died in a tank upgrade :( was a very beautiful fish

I've had mine for over 8 years now. They do get big, but mine has neve been aggressive towards other tangs. He is now in a 175 gallon bowfront tank. He's about 6" long and 1.5" fat. They love lots of swiming room.

Depends on the configuration of the tank but we are talking about considerably more tank space. I also think a 180 is a bare minimum for a sailfin, these fish really do get quite large.
