Yes. Paint white. Black. What ever. Keep it clean & it looks much better than plain glass or coraline. I painted mine black.
I painted my 20g nano white underneath. Looks good to me.
I don't see the point when its going to get completely covered in coralline
If you do that for a whole year, i will give you some of my most prized chalice corals. I don't want to see one spot of coralline and you need to update with pics every single day. lolim probally going to try and keep it clean![]()

The OP will probably notice that the coraline does not grow as fast in a BB tank than it does in a tank with sand. If you scrape the bottom and the sides every 2 weeks, it will stay very clean, and will look great. It is not hard to do. I've been doing it for over a year on my 150, with is 48x30x24(in). Super easy. And with a 12" tall tank, it will be even easier.
If you need some inspiration, check out Denadai's tank.
The paint does not matter. Spray paint works, but you have to use it outside, and you have to tape over the tank. I have used an outdoor latex on my last couple of tanks, and it works great.
is there a thread for this tank?![]()
K4ndy - Not sure if this is what you were asking for, but if you wanted to take a look at my build, here it is. Sorry, it hasn't been updated in a while.
