Pair of Maroons

I just got a pair of Maroon's male and female, Doing good sofar. I got a purple tip sebae anenome for them. How long does it take for them to host in it? They dont seem to give a crap about it. Everyone is healthy and tank parameters are perfect. 180 Reef with Tangs and clowns..

My percs took a full year before they even glanced over at my BTA. Seemed to be very happy in my Finger Leather coral and Green Star Polyps. Just give them time!

I bet if you had got them a large Bubble Tip Anemone (entacmaea quadricolor), they would move right into the anemone. I haven't seen a maroon clown using a sebae as a host but can't say its not possible. Good luck..if you are really wanting to see them in a anemone and they show no intrest in the sebae. Get a bta you will have a better chance with that anemone ..plus it is an easier anemone to care for.

My GSM's dove into the sebae before it was even out of the acclimation bag...

But then my ocellaris pair dove right into my sebae in my other tank too...

I think I just have good hosting luck.
