pair of midnight with pair of snowflake

I have a younger pair of midnight all black clownfish currently with a older pair of snowflake's in a 40 breeder. Is this going to work long term? I was forced into the situation as I had a tank leak. They seem ok for the past 2 weeks. Each pair sticks to opposite sides of the tank and I have not seen much aggression yet. I thought maybe since the color is so much different they might be ok?

Not going to say it wont work long term because nothing is absolute, but odds are not in your favor. The older snowflake pair will probably dominate/kill the younger midnights in time.

Your best bet for you and your fish is to set up another tank for the other pair.

An odd number of clownfish in a tank is a surefire recipe for disaster. You need to rehome the lone clown into another tank.

Short answer. No. There are exceptions, but most of those are in very large tanks, with their own anemone, and frequently no line of sight. The problem starts when they begin to breed. You'll see your females get much more aggressive.

Most likely going to have problems, surprised you don't already.
I would at least place a divider for this temporary situation.
