Pair of Percs & pair of tomatoes together?

OK, I got a pair of Percula clowns kind of spontaneously today and they are in heaven in my 150 gallon reef. They have 3 RBTAs to choose from as well as whatever corals they like.

The thing is I sort of commited to buy a mated pair of tomatoes a week ago and was supposed to get them tomorrow.

Will they get along OK with the Percs? I don't want to start any aggresive behavior or territory wars.

It is a big tank, and it hasn't even been 24 hours yet.

Could I add the tomato pair safely?

trouble ahead im afraid, tomatos are extremely intolerant fish, especially mature females

I would say no as well. Although the tank is fairly large, tomatoes are extremely aggressive in my opinion. Almost as bad as maroons. However, that being said, if you could get an anemone on either end of the tank and you are lucky enough to have those clownfish that stay in or right by their nem you might be lucky.

I support Phoenix19's opinions. Although tomatoes are very aggressive, I notice that mine do not stray far from their home anemone.

The key seems to be giving them room, and creating an environment where they do not see the other fish too often. I only see aggression these days from my female tomatoe at feeding time so if you have seperate feeding zones for the two pair, a 150 should provide enough space for them.

Of course, you should be picking up from this that you actually need to do some work to make this happen so you figure out how bad you want it.

good luck, Kevin

thanks for the replies. i think i'm going to pass on the tomatoes. i prefer peace and don't want to start any trouble.
