Hi,
Fairly recently I bought two banggai cardinals in the hope they would pair up and breed. Both eat well, and one is quite a bit smaller than the other.
I've noticed a bit of aggression from the larger cardinal directed towards the smaller one. It's not anything too serious (it's just a bit of a dart towards the smaller one which moves a foot away and peace returns) and most of the time they tolerate each other. Sometimes they swim in similar areas though over a day they don't spend much time together.
My question is, does this mean I've ended up with two males, or is a bit of hostility normal in these fish between males and femals?
Thanks
