Pairing clowns after one goes female

Well in two tanks I have two female clownfish. I've introduced juveniles to each tank. Or at least, I'm pretty sure they are. I was wondering if I could describe the clowns behavior and you could use your experiences to tell me if I'm on the right track.

So far neither female has aggresively gone after the male. None of them are maroons so I think I'm ahead of the game there. One pair is a latz/clarkii (or possibly allardi i think he needs to get a tad older to tell for sure, my eye isn't so great for the juvenile) and the other is perc/ocellaris.

In the tank with the latz/clarkii the female has chased the small hopefully male clown away from her anemone a little but over the last few days he's been gradually getting closer and closer. If anything the blenny has chased him more but he seems to have stopped realizing that the clown is now sharing his territory. The female seems defensive of the anem but accepting of his presence. No bloodshed or locking of lips. I'm wondering if he needs to come into his male-ness to do the submissive thing and hopefully they will pair up.

Today I just added the occellaris to the perc tank. He dove straight for her anemone and she was thrashing about by herself in the anemone. She didn't chase him but he was made aware that a dwarf angel sharing the tank didnt like him in his territory. Again, I find it funny another fish is bullying the clown instead of the female. She seemed shy of the male like Oh? A mate? Oh do I look okay? I better go inside my nem to make sure my makeup is just right... She was coy almost, or possibly even excited. I know it doesn't translate to human emotions but there was no sign of aggression or anything. That's only day 1 though so we'll see.

So long as there isn't chasing over and more aggresiveness do you think I'm on the way towards a peaceful if not successful pairing?

Ya I think you should be alright as long as they aren't locking jaws or tearing each others fins. A little chasing and dominance stands is totally normal though.

Thanks that is what I was hoping for! I did a lot of reading and research and I"m pretty comfortable feeling that the signs aren't there for me to have need to remove the clowns. I also realizse it may take some time to make a true pair but for now I'm just hoping everyone gets along.

Already this morning I noticed my dwarf angel is leaving the clown alone more so I'm guessing thats just a territorial thing and I suspect his behavior will follow in the blennys footsteps from the other tank. They just need to realize they can't chase the clown away so they will have to cope.

I should get some pictures they're such cute little clowns. I put my orange misbar perc with a black and white oscellaris - he's juvenile but starting to show adult markings but for now he has this adorable orange face and his back is brown/orange while the rest of him is black. So cute! I'll see what I can do today or tomorrow with the camera after I do my water changes :)

Just an update, I was doing some water changes/tank scraping. I think it stressed the juvenile/potential male out a bit and he is now actually in the anemone with the female and they seem to be getting along. This is true for both tanks, yay I'm so happy. Will try to get pics a little later today.
