Pairing Clowns

I have a Proaquatix Snowflake and a reefer has one for sale pretty cheap. I'm wondering if it's a bad idea to try and put them together. I'm kind of limited on time to buy it. They are both just shy of 2".

When they fight would one kill the other? Or do they just play the dominance game until one changes sex (if they even both ARE the same sex)

If they both turned female they will fight to the death. Once female they can never change sex. At 2inches there's a chance both have changed. You can always keep the new one in a breeder box and see if there's aggression. But if its a costly investment I'd hold out for a smaller one. Much smaller than your current snowflake.

You could try a specimen container and see the reaction between the two, it should be obvious.
I would be very surprised if either were still a male at that size unless they just left a female that kept them in check.

My experience, if they lock lips when placed together, they are both female.
