Pairing interruptus angels

Hello everyone,

I've got a single (still female) interruptus angel that has been living in a 160 gallon community tank. I just bought a second interruptus that i'd like to try to pair to my current one. Any suggestions on what the best way to do this would be? I could try to introduce them into a totally neutral tank as i've got a 90 gallon tank that is empty that I could use. My current fish is about 5" the new one is about 4"

Thanks for your help!
Ralph

Here are some pics of the multicolor angels i am pairing up.I have them seperated bye egg crate for now until they get used to each other then will eventually take it out.I wont take it out until i am pretty sure there is no aggression.I should also add the bigger diffrence in size between the two fish will make the outcome more successful.Obviously interuptus angels are not easy to get in any size you want but the closer in size they are the more aggression there may be. Both of you guys get them together! There will be aggression, but it should subside.

Kieth with your multis if you got them at the same time I would have had them together. If you had one and added another it is best to let them see but not touch.

Same with the interruptus, Ralph. Since you have an established fish, put the new one in a container where the est. one can see it but not touch it for at least a week. Then let them together, and I would keep the lights off when you introduce it and leave them off for a couple days. Monitor aggression, don't be alarmed if it is bad initially, it should subside.

Make sure you QT that new interruptus!!! And the neutral tank would be a good idea too probably less aggression. If it were me I would keep lighting to a minimal and lots of hiding places!!!

Thanks for the advise. I'm going to house the new one in my qt tank and once she's ready to move out of quarantine, i'll set them up in a neutral 90 with an eggcrate divider. I was hoping to find a small interruptus 3" or so but 4" was the only one I could find. I'll take pics of the two fish soon if there's interest?
