i don't have an anenome yet. i'm not getting 1 until i have my flow perfect. i need 1 or 2 more tunze's. but i have the 1 maroon, about 2.25", the smaller 1 jumped about a year ago when they were both about 1". i'm about to go to LFS to look at the maroons. they have 1" ones. is this a good ratio to try and pair up???
2.25":1". again no nem yet. not sure yet if i definately want 1. the maroon i have now hosts a big open brain.

i don't have a container or time for that. i know alot just get 1 smaller and add to other...

i found a container, used to use it for a frog back in the day. i have the small 1" maroon in it at bottom of tank near larger maroon's(3") open brain. they've been checking each other out, no aggressiveness shown yet. they both are calm. how long before i should let it out?

wait 24hours it will pay off im glad you took the time to do it right
you are smart to put it near the brain let her get used to him update here if there is any weird behaivior if it seems as if they are becoming attached and swimming together you are getting to the poinr where you can introduce them

right now they're near each other very calm, the big 1 strays into brain and back occasionally. just the actinics are on now and i noticed the big 1 started hanging by container more after halides went off.

watch for him to vibrate for her

should he vibrate while he is in container?

no they do it to submit to the female when she is being aggresive
she will mouth maybee even bite his pectoral fins until he vibrates mine did it as soon as she did this my .75inch true percs were shipped from the breeder and the male was vibrating in the bag for her when i floated them in the tank

i think i'm gonna let him out a couple hours after halides go off and 2 hrs before tank is dark. i will also lower flow alot in tank for night for him, slowly raising it tomorrow again.
the big 1 is hanging near brain more, and on side of container. not swimming too far away. they really seem to be checking each other out and no signs of aggression at all. i fed the small 1 in container twice and he chowed down. i think in another 3 or 4 hours it will be time.
