OK,
well i have had an Occelaris clown for about 8 months now.. and i recently put him in a temporary 5g. HEX (like 2 months ago).. today i got a Larger Black Occelaris.. is it normal for the Larger, New clown to pick on the smaller old clown???? Also if they do pair.. the larger one is the female right??? Does anyone have any tips or anything??? The new black one was picking on my old orange one and so seperated them.. (they are in the same tank.. the new one is just in a seperate container that i placed in the tank)
thank you

Well since you had your Ocellaris for 8 Months by itself it probably turned to a female and since you added a larger black ocellaris which was probably female they will end up killing each other. Return the black one and find the smallest one you can find your best bet would be a juvenile clown since your other one is already a female.

thank you.... SO.. if i get the black ones with the orange face.. will the orange part go away??? because the reason why i got the larger Black one was because he was all black and didnt have the orange face

The orange Occ. can almost 100% be female by now if you've had it that long since purchase. A female cannot go back to being male, yet a male can turn into female once it becomes the dominant one in the harem. So getting that big Black Occ. was not a good idea, because it is most likley female also. The black occ. will beat the female Occ, but what can the orange occ. do its female and will most likley loose since Black occ.'s are relativley large. Best bet it to figure out wich you would like for Female, sell the other and get urself an unsexed clown(Juvenile). Im sure you can probably read more on this on wetwebmedia.com

thank you.. i didnt even think of WWM.com thanks.. also i have them issolated from eachother.. im going to try and get a juvenile black clown... (since i cant get rid of my Orange Occ.. he has been with me for so long and was my first fish in my first reef tank) thank you.. also anyone know if the orange face on the black occ. goes away with age??

Yes as the Black Occ. gets older it will become completely black except for its whiet markings.
