Pairing Regal Angels (Expert help needed)

Pretty bummed to get a regal that ate flake on day 2, only to have it sucumb to disease on day 12.

I do 100% water changes based off a recommendation from Copps. Not to mention my water parameters in my QT are always exactly the same as the ones in my 250 gallon tank(370 gallon system). My water change system is plumbed so that the waste water from the main system pumps into the QT and the QT overflows into the drain. I do water changes every 3 days so my water quality is extremely stable. This allows for a super easy adjustment from QT to DT, not to mention makes 100% possible due to literally identical temp, salinity and PH. I will have to run a copper test when I get home.

The water params will still change after 3 days in the QT.

Just a suggestion, how about a 36% change daily with DT water. IMO the QT would be even more stable.

I guess I should have said I normally change every 3 days. While fish are in qt the change is every other day. 75%


Doesn't matter now, he was the only fish in qt. A least the regal in the display is super healthy.

That's a bummer to hear. Goes to show with these fish even the best plan sometimes is not enough
