Pairing True Percs

HI there.

I bought a new 1.5 inch true perc yesterday to pair up with my female who is about 2.5 inches. I also at the same time bought a little saddleback to apir up with my female in another tank. I thought for sure the problem was going to be with the saddlebacks but they paired up within about 2 hours. But the perc has banished him to the other side of a 130 gallon tank. Will they ever pair up now that he is so far away and in my frogspawn or should i try with another clown.

Your little A. percula may already be a female... That 1.5" to 2" range is very tenuous as to assuring you have a juvenile or mature adult. Most of the WC A. percula pairs I have had/seen have had a male that was tiny in comparison to the female, typically 1" or less.

We'll thats great...lol
He/She is so pretty. We'll it is still on the other side of the tank. They weren't fighting viciously by any means not like what my anthias did when the male died. The were lip locked for days untill she switched to a male. But oh we'll i guess it can go to my daughters tank
