Is the paly/zoa craze coming to or already at an end? Don't get me wrong I will always love me zoas, :), but I think all the hype is almost died away.

I have also noticed a trend of zoa/paly prices coming way down. (good for us paly lovers)

What do you guys think?

NO, here in the bayarea is still crazy. especially some of those ebay folks who sell here in the bayarea, charge an arm and a leg for shipping for A polyp. You just gotta know who your dealing with. Fortunately i've been lucky to deal with REASONABLE reefers who don't charge much.

I'd have to say NO esp. if you check out the stunning photographs threads up top. PS. I've gotta a new morph but I'm not selling, lol!

Certainly isn't in MY tank! But at your forum, I can rarely find anyone selling anything cool in the way of zoas/palys anymore. :(

i wish everyone who liked them decided they were horrible, and the worst thing you could put in your tank. That way i could just buy them all for next to nothing.

maybe we should all just act like its over and the prices will go down?

it will never be over. as long as the price gouging continues, the silly naming, and continuous boasting by a group of some people (mostly hobbiests, but also some vendors) who in my mind want to keep it going so they can continue to name and then sell "rare" zoas...

I hope so because in my opinion it can't come soon enough. I want to go back to paying reasonable prices for cool stuff like the good old days (about 2 years ago). haha....

is more like the zoanthid stock market. start looking for new investments tho. the PPE, PD, NG, and alsmost every single named polyps is dropping in price.

I'm still seeing the named zoas going for high prices, but maybe not as high as a few months ago (no $100 per polyp lately). I've mostly switched to getting unknown zoas with potential for a low price.

zoa prices are crazy

ill gladly pay them tho

im starting more prop tanks ( more zoa tanks) and my whole goal is to sell them reasonably priced to the lfs ( wholesale only) once they get to the lfs it will be outa my hands :( not as cheep as the commons but pretty close)

I f you watch your LFS' you will find wild colonies that have great potential. I know LFS' differ around the country, but if you check often you will find a diamond in the rough. I have seen MANY of the "named" zoas come in and go out at great prices, and as full colonies.
