Hey guys.

All the params in the tank are in check but i have some palys that arent doing so hot after spreading and being healthy for months. These being rdpe(have 4 polyps. 1 is closed up 100%the for about 2u weeks now. Another one the skirt has started looking ragged, im thinking that is due to the increase in flow at that area)

My magicians have also started closing up. All 12the were closed for a week, now 4it are open but they look much smaller, like the skirts have shrunk. The other ones look like they have white specks where they are closed up tight. Ive checked out zoa pocks but i have nothing on the body its almost like the under side of the skirt when its closed up.

Not sure just looking for some iceas. Nothing has changed in the months. Nothing is stinging it. I never notice any snails on them or nudis. Not sure maybe they want more light or flow? They have been in the same spot for about a year. The sps have been growing like crazy so i had to turn the vortechs up.

Hard to say, but yeah, they would need to adapt to higher flow and that could be the way they are doing it for now.
If the flow is higher and that was the only thing you've changed...
I would suggest you to increase the flow slowly.
That's all I can see here once there is no predators, infections or bleaching going on and the params and maintenance are the same when no other changes are made at all.

Try to bring the flow back to what it was for couple of days and you'll see if that was it.
Good luck!

Grandis.

Could you post the values of the params?

Temp 79
salinity 1.026
alk 8.6-9
ca 440
mg 1400
no3 0
po4 0.06

Thats what i was thinking. Nothing has changed in the tank. Everything is thriving. Truthfully. Thats why i was lost when i started noticing only a few close up and stay closed..

Thank you
