Palythoa fragging question

I have these large fast-growing and beautiful pink palys that are amazing and I would like to frag them to cut back their growth, but to also make some $$$ because they will sell easy.

My biggest concern however, is palytoxin. I dont want to die just trying to make a few bucks, and I also cannot cut away at the rock in my tank because it is a base rock in my system.

Question is....so long as I wear gloves and goggles, can I just cut them off at the base underwater and then use a hemostat to hold them to be glued to a plug? And is this safe?

They look like radioactive dragon eyes, a fairly common zoa. You are fine fragging them if you wear gloves and eye protection. Try using a gouge to scrape off some of the rock surface along with the zoas and it will be much easier to glue them to a plug or another rock.

I'm not talking about the large green colony, I meant the large pink palys with green mouths/long tentacles to the right of it
