Rather than the typical hinged door has anyone tried these?

I'm looking at type 2 for my stand cause the panel is 66 inches wide by 38 tall.

A hinge would be impractical

Never used them, but no reason why they wouldn't work. There are several different ways to hang a panel, many work just as well as the next.

My only concern would be that it's rather cumbersome to remove a panel that big on a regular basis. Another option would be to make a removable mullion in the middle and have 4 smaller doors that are about 16" wide. That would be more convenient for routine access and still allow full access when necessary.

Before you buy those, google "french cleat" and see if that might work for you. If you can build your own stand you can easily build these to hold the panels.

Those clips are basically just a plastic version of a french cleat, or same basic priciple anyway, but probably cheaper/quicker/easier, but yeah, as long as you don't have a ledge to clear either will work.
